Higher Burrow Farm dates back to 1564 and has just been completely renovated from top to bottom, which means it is bursting with historic character whilst having the luxury and style akin to a boutique hotel - essentially here you have the best of both worlds. There are more recent additions to this property such as the modern extension which gives the home its heart with the open plan kitchen/diner - perfect for celebration dinner parties. The attention to detail and style that has gone into this renovation plus the heritage that has always been there will leave you forever noticing the little things this beautiful house has to offer.
The location of Higher Burrow in the heart of Somerset really is the English countryside at it's very best; only a mile from the Somerset levels you are surrounded by nature, picture-perfect villages and even a local cider farm (the famous Somerset Cider Co.!) which is just a short stumble from the house where they are more than happy to let you try before you buy and tours can be arranged.
If all this exercise builds an appetite, then the local gastro pub the Lamb & Lion is the ideal antidote. Located just 1.5 miles from the house it is under the same ownership which means you are guaranteed a warm welcome upon arrival. There are also private dining areas for larger parties.
Please Note: There are noise restrictions in place at this property whereby no external music players must be brought to the property (portable bluetooth players are provided and these must be kept at a low level) and external noise must consider other guests which means no excesses of shouting or screaming at any time.
