Accommodation
- The party leader must be 23 years of age at the time of booking.
- The party leader is responsible for all payments, breakages and cancellations.
- Payment of a deposit of 25% of the total charge for rent is required at the time of booking. The balance payment is to be paid no later than 28 days before arrival at the property.
The properties cannot be used for any reason other than 'normal' holiday use without prior permission, to include:
- Parties
- Wedding receptions
- Formal gatherings
- Third party organised events
In this case, Woodlands Retreats reserves the right to cancel or turn away bookings which are found to be breaching this agreement.
Rent Waiver Scheme
If you have to cancel your booking due to any of the reasons provided below, you will lose your deposit and be obliged to pay the balance unless the property is re-let.
However, if you participate in our Rent Waiver Scheme, we will refund your deposit and refund or waive payment of the balance due if you cannot fulfil the contract due to any of the said circumstances. The charge for this is 4% of the rent. If you choose not to participate, please ensure that you have appropriate holiday insurance.
Holiday Reservation Liability
To avoid misunderstandings with out guests we would remind you that a reservation constitutes a legal contract. In the event of a cancellation, both parties should endeavour to re-let the accommodation. Should neither party succeed, then the person making the reservation is legally liable to pay for that accommodation. This liability can be covered by our Rent Waiver Scheme.
It is an option to take out this protection and entirely your decision to do so. This scheme does not cover any pre-existing illness, whether active or dormant, at the date of agreement of this application.
Prospectus
This rent waiver scheme will indemnify the party group persons against net financial loss incurred as a result of the cancellation of the booking, arising as a direct result of the booking having to be cancelled by: The death, injury or illness of a party member or the husband, wife, father, mother. Father in law, mother in law, brother, sister, child of a party member subject to the conditions shown below, or as a result of a party member being required for Jury service or as a witness in a court of law.
Conditions
This rent waiver does not cover financial loss sustained due to cancellation or abandonment arising:
- out of lack of finance or organisational changes of plans on the part of any party members
- out of death or illness of relatives of the party members other than husband, wife, father, mother, father in-law, mother in-law, brother, sister or child of a party member
- due to pregnancy unless occurring after the inception of this rent waiver
- out of exigencies of her majesty's forces
- through inclement bad weather
- as a result of any pre-existing illness, whether active or dormant, at the time of signature of the application
Holiday Extras
- The party leader must be 23 years of age at the time of booking.
- The party leader is responsible for all payments and cancellations.
- An initial payment of 50% of the total charge for holiday extra services booked is required at the time of booking. The balance payment is to be paid no later than 28 days before arrival at the property.
Cancellations
Holiday Extras are NOT covered by the rent waiver scheme. Any holiday extras cancelled more than 28 days before the arrival date will be given a full refund including your deposit. If you cancel within 28 days of your arrival for ANY reason whatsoever, you will lose your deposit and be obliged to pay the full balance. Please ensure you have appropriate holiday insurance.
Liability
We accept no responsibility or liability for any accidents or illness that may occur as a result of any holiday extra activity. The liability and any insurance coverage rests between you and the holiday extra service provider.
